Vision

A leading, dynamic organisation, professionally enhancing self-reliant communities

CWD – ready for kick-off!

CWD will be offering the following exciting and valuable services and offerings to soccer fans and the public alike:

Our Shweshware Tea room and craft shop will offer fans a chance to relax under our magnificent oak tree right on the Fan Walk to the main stadium, enjoy African inspired food and refreshments, watch the game and even check their email on a free WIFI connection. All this while supporting social development in the Western Cape! Patrons can also purchase exquisite craft made locally and browse in the attached craft shop.

We will also be offering limited African Food fair evenings at our premises along the fan Walk. Before and after the games, visitors can enjoy a traditional South African "braai" or a buffet of authentic African dishes and be entertained by our talented Youth performers - ballroom dancing, rope skipping, music and theatre!

Need your laundry done? At a limited fee, we will wash, fold and iron your laundry. Simply drop off at our designated depots and we will contact you when it is ready for collection or drop it off at a nominal fee!

One of CWD's most established programmes, Catholic Counselling Network, will offer free volunteer lay counselling services upon request.

Want to find out about mass times and Catholic Parishes? Visit our premises at 37 A Somerset Road or log on to www.cwd.org.za

Our well-established community development centres will cater to the varied and substantial needs of our children and youth throughout the World Cup festivities. Long holidays mean that most of the children will have little to do. Our centres are intensifying their after-school activities and holiday camps and offering valuable workshops on social ills to the broader community on topics such as Human Trafficking and drug abuse to inform our youngsters and their parents.
