Elsies River Community Development Centre

Domestic violence, substance abuse [both alcohol and drugs] and gangsterism permeate the social fabric of this community. Parenting skills have been identified as a key area in addressing these issues, as well as family support services.

Conflict resolution, HIV/AIDS awareness and personal development are some of the workshops offered to community members.

The Centre also promotes sewing skills to enable women to escape the cycle of poverty and abuse.
