During the Fifa 2010 World Cup Soccer Tournament the Shwe Shwe Dove Tea Room & Craft Shop is ideally situated on the “Fan Walk” to the Greenpoint Stadium.  The Tea Room will be offering food and refreshments and fans will be able to watch the games.   Fans may also want to browse and purchase exquisitely made craft in the Craft Shop.  On match days an African Braai will be taking place with entertainment from CWD’s Youth Interfacing Programme.

The Shwe Shwe Dove Tea Room & Craft Shop located at 37A Somerset Road Greenpoint Cape Town is housed in a converted chapel which was built under one of the oldest oak trees in Cape Town.  The beautiful and tranquil atmosphere is sure to create an opportunity for fan’s to relax and enjoy wonderful home made food (breakfast and lunch only).  But more importantly it gives the public the opportunity of contributing to an organization that has been providing much needed relief to thousands of underprivileged people from all backgrounds and beliefs in the greater Cape Town area for 40 years.

CWD are also aware of the problems that school children and parents face with a long 5 week school holiday.  Therefore CWD’s community centres in Delft Khayelitsha Tafelsig Elsies River Atlantis and Mbekweni will be open and running special holiday programmes to make sure that school children are safe and entertained and not roaming the streets.
