A brighter outlook and future because YOU care!

width=210When you opened your heart to poverty-stricken children who were struggling to stay in school you did much more than give them hope ....

... you gave real help – and you’ve put a spring in their steps and smiles on their faces! Thank you for supporting our appeal for school uniforms and essentials for underprivileged youngsters.

Difference

Your generosity has made an enormous difference to their outlook. ‘I wish you could see the children’s faces when they receive their uniform and stationery packs. They’re so proud! ’ says Sandra Leukes manager of our Tafelsig Community Centre.

The reality of living in a poor community is heart-breaking. ‘The last thing people think about is school needs. Their main concern is putting food on the table and keeping a roof over their heads – which in itself is a daily struggle ’ explains Sandra.

Potential

Sadly children who don’t have proper uniforms or stationery often face ridicule at school. This gives them a terrible complex – and they’d rather drop out than endure that humiliation.

‘But we don’t want that. We want to help them stay in school – to reach their full potential – and escape the poverty trap through education ’ adds Sandra.

‘CWD’s wonderful donors are helping us to achieve this goal – by giving these children the chance of a brighter future – and we’re so grateful for that!’
